The Mound Fire Department has named firefighter Alex Erickson as the recipient of the Mound Fire Department Firefighter of the Year Award for 2023.

The recipient of the award is determined by a nomination and evaluation process, which involves the entire team of Mound firefighters. The firefighters vote for staff members that have had an outstanding year and outstanding job performance.
